CHA History

Cheevers, Hand & Angeline, LLC is a full-service independent office of Excel Securities & Associates, Inc. Established in 1974, the firm continues to be locally owned and operated. As an independent investment firm, we take particular pride in knowing our clients and understanding their investment needs. In fact, virtually everyone affiliated with CHA is a long-time resident of our community.

Our Primary Purpose

Most of our investment brokers are recognized for their ongoing involvement and leadership in community service.

In June 2010, CHA moved to its new location on Grant Avenue. Our new office allows for a more comfortable environment to meet with our clients and convenient parking as well as easy access from Interstate 86.

CHA is operating as an office of supervisory jurisdiction under Excel Securities & Associates Inc, which is a member of The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and conducts all of its activities in a manner, which is consistent with the highest ethical standards of the securities industry. 

All of our client accounts are insured by the Securities Investment Protection Corporation (SIPC). Additional insurance protection is provided by Pershing, LLC through Lloyds of London to offer coverage up to an overall aggregate level of $1 billion for assets in custody at Pershing including $1.9 million in cash awaiting reinvestment at the individual account level. The protection applies when SIPC member firms fail financially and are unable to meet the obligations to securities customers, but does not protect against losses arising from changes in the market value of investments. Additional SIPC coverage limits as of 12/2010.
